Imagine if your dad died, and then your mom was diagnosed with breast cancer for a second time, but you decided to make it...funny? Death is the go-to topic of conversation for Chelsea London Lloyd, a comedian, actress, and podcaster in Los Angeles. Dying of Laughter will delve into grief and loss through the lens of comedy.
Dying of Laughter is an exploratory film about the stages of grief and how laughter can be an outlet. It will include interviews and observational/verité footage. Audio from Chelsea’s comedy and podcast will also be heavily featured. We will use the podcast as a guide to discuss parts of Chelsea’s story and the grieving process, structure in three parts: Chelsea’s story, her journey, and her ultimate goals for the podcast and her future.
